Wasn't sure where to put this.....but thought that someone on CB would know, when you send a letter to someone posted abroad eg in Afghanistan, how long does it take to arrive? Had a look at the MOD website but that info doesn't seem to be on there.

oh right, thanks for that tambourine, feel a bit daft asking but haven't had someone I know serving in the forces til now.
hope he's safe.....bfpo numbers are not supposed to reveal location - security etc.

I hope he's safe too, he's my lad's best mate, only 19, been sent to Helmand, the address does say which camp he's in though. Just want him back, he's a lovely lad, as no doubt all of the young men sent there are, very proud but very worried:-/
It took less time for my packages to be delivered to my son in Afghanistan, than when I forward letters to his UK base :o)

It is, as tambourine said, 3/4 days.......

He'll be thrilled to receive something from you, believe me. All of the boys out there look forwards to receiving something, anything from home.............
