BT Yahoo! running Opera 9.6 -- e-mail editor

Something that has annoyed me for a very long time is,

when composing an e-mail everything looks fine, but after a spell check or when I send the e-mail, the line spacing is removed and I no longer have a double line for paras. This results in the e-mail looking extremely amateurish.

I have searched and searched the various setup options, but I cannot find anything regarding setting up the text editor.

Would be very grateful to hear from anyone with any sort of suggestions?

Try it in Firefox or internet explorer to see if it's opera or BT yahoo (Firefox spell checks as the type BTW, you wouldn't have to "run a spellcheck")
