How do the loadings work for car insurance vis-a-vis occupation? Why are the armed forces quoted higher rates?

i think that the thinking behind it is that you could be on a posting for a while not doing any driving at all, then come back and drive stupidlycause you haven't been doing it

In the main all insurance of this type if based on the claims experience of the insurers - so, if people from the armed forces have more claims or more expensive claims than those in other occupations - their insurance will be loaded accordingly.
