currie - for your information SACK HUGE RON is an anagram of Snegurochka (which as the other posters have said translates to Snow Maiden - though why neither explained themselves I don't know).

Thank you all. I think Snow Maden was a good clue which was all that was wanted. Perhaps I should have said so.

 I will never give a direct answer. Surely it is far better to give a clue and I believe most of the people who post questions from money quizzes are quite happy to find the answer themselves when given a clue.

 I felt certain that currie would be intelligent enough to find the answer from my clue and it would appear that I was correct in my assumption.

That is up to you, of course, oarsman, but in my view  unless the questioner says just to give a clue, I am the opposite of you and will always give the answer.

If I had known the answer, which I totally admit I did not, I would have given it. I am not sure why you think it is better never to give a straight answer. This is the very first time on this site that I have ever seen anybody admit they would have preferred a clue rather than the straight answer (that is without being asked for just a clue). Most posters I have found are more than happy to have the straight answer.

Having said that, I would not have posted anything on this thread had I known (or perhaps had the gumption!) to think that your original post was a clue so sorry!
