ive been here long enough to go grey now, didnt notice that hapen til today, but i was here before a few years back and found it again by accident when i googled something.

doesn;t appear to be much going on really. not as fun and informative as i remember it being. has the site lost its purpose??

The site goes through cycles - as all sites like this do.

It may be a little slack right now, but persevere, and it sill liven up soon.

Must admit, it does seem very quite at the moment, a few years ago this place was mad (well madder), not to worry, -peaks and troughs (and all that!).

Hi.I started on here last year and your right it doesnt seem as busy.
I notice the same names popping up again and again.
It can be off putting cos it does appear more like social networking than a Q and A site.
I sometimes feel like I am butting into a private conversation.

yes there does seem to be the topical gangs in each section that know the ins and outs of each other, and even some patronisiing know it alls in others. but that always went on from what i remember, but i do remember those groups being more welcoming and less agressive about "intruders" into "their" topic.

andy & warpig, i hope your right. if not then it just seems a bit pointless.

I only joined because I had a couple of questions, but it does seem to be the same people. What annoys me is that when someone asks a question one person will answer it, then someone else will say hello to them and the original question is forgotten. It turns into a chat of friends and the person and question they asked seems to get forgotten.

Now that's my rant over. I just look at what I want to, and leave the rest.

I've been here since 2004 and it was much more friendly and welcoming back then! I get bored of the 'gangs' mentioned, and I hate it when a question just turns into little digs or chatting, the poor person doesn't get many good answers!

There are a quite a few nice people on here though, but I only really come on when I'm bored or have something to ask.

You're right though, it has definately changed!
