Anyone Know a Good ISP?

The ISP I have had for years was taken over by Tiscali, who are hopeless. Can anyone recommend an alternative pay-as-you-go ISP? Flat rate ISPs are no good to me as my monthly bill is only about �8.

ISPs are very much a case of 'see-what-works-for-you', however, I've been through about eight in my time and I've now settled on PlusNet (www.plus.net) - they aren't perfect, but they are helpful. They're also quite cheap, and don't restrict what you can or can't do with your connection.

What country and area are you talking about first. You have to use a local one or your calls are going to cost a fortune!!!

I have used Virgin for a long time - initially on Pay-as-you-go, then 24/7 and now broadband. I think they are excellent.
