can i have more than two mortgages

I currently have a joint mortgage withy my husband. We are seperating and I have moved out. I have found another flat and my dad has agreed to guarantee my new mortgage. The new mortgage company are aware of my mortgage with my husband but as I have a guarantor they are happy. (my husband and I are currently trying to sell but it is obviously a challenge in these times...)

My question is - do I have to tell my original mortgage company about the new one?

Any advice gratefully received - thanks!

There is no legal obligation for you to advise them unless it is in their terms and conditions. In the circumstances I personally would not bother.
