I agree, there are a lot more less deserving people in this country that wouldn't give too hoots for us British and our Land. The Gurkhas fought for us and have every right to live here and get the medical treatment for injuries they were inflicted with.

leggy....I agree with all you say BUT if policy decisions are going to be made by groups who have the most popular TV personality , there would be no point in having elections or Houses of Parliament.

The Labour Government was elected for 3 terms 2 of which were landslide victories and if you disagree then vote them out at the next election. My objection is "celebs" who corner MP's for a good publicity effect.

I have no problem with all the Gherkins coming here (circa 150,000 if you include families). What I do have a problem with is the seemingly limitless traffic into Britain with none going out. Why do they all want to come here? A good health service, benefits, etc, etc - but why have they not created these things in their own country? So, it seems that at least a proportion see Britain as a benefits paradise.

I don't care, I've given up on this country anyway, but what we are seeing is a growing proportion of people living off the benefits paid by the others who actually work. Just wander down to the benefits office with a black face, and you are made. What happens as the proportion of claimaints to tax-payers changes? Think about it.
