Yes, they do. The problem now is a regulatory one. You're supposed to get in a CORGI fitter (at some astronomical call-out fee and hourly rate) to connect the bayonet hose any new gas cooker!!!
Heathfield is correct, Yes we do use the bayonet fittings. The thing is Cookers are no longer supplied with the correct fittings to install them as it is illegal for non gas safe registered persons to install it. We install and then test the appliance, then we have to register it. So you get you're buliding regulations certificate through to prove it has been installed to current regulations.
