I am to have my tear ducts enlarged by having them snipped. Has anyone had this procedure done? If so, how is the local anaesthetic administered? Are drops used or injections?

I would be very grateful for any information. Thanks

Not enough information..

Google Dacro cysto rhinostomy and see if that is what you are having done.....if so, it will be done under general anaesthesia, if not and you are having just dilatation of your tear ducts, then it will be done with local anaesthesia.

This is all the information I have been given - I have been told it will be done under local anaesthetic and the consultant said it was a snip procedure, but I want to know if the anaesthetic will be administered by drops or injection.
Almost certainly by topical anaesthetic drops, not injection.

thank God for that!! Thanks for your help - will let you know when I have had it done.
