should my pupils be the same size?

Bit worried - as when I was putting on my make up this morning I noticed that one pupil was much bigger than the other. A colleague has just looked too and said that yes one does seem smaller than the other...

Is this normal???

Most children grow at different speeds, so there will be differences! :)

Could well be, but other condtions can also affect the size of the pupil.

Best get an appt to see an Ophthalmologist.

It could depend on the light in the room you were in.When I look in my bathroom mirror one pupil always looks smaller than the other due to there being more light on the left hand side of the mirror.If I position the mirror in front of the window both pupils are equal in size.

More than likely this is completely normal. I have one pupil bigger than the other - it's called Adie's pupil and is not serious. Best to get it checked with an optician though, even if only to put your mind at rest.

salla....I am very impressed....Adie -Holmes pupil.
Liitle story....in nmy finals I was asked to examine a women's eyes and when I asked what the problem was she blurted out,
"I have Lady Holmes pupils"
I quickly gagged her and told her that she musn't give the diagnosis away.

The examiner was very impressed with my diagnosis.
