When trying to open certain folders on my PC (Windows Vista), or change the name of a folder, sometimes a pop up will appear stating "you need permission to carry out this task - access is denied" How do I get access? I log on as administrator. I never had this problem with Windows XP.

I`ve wondered about this myself, and also the constant message when I try to delete something " You need permission to perform this action"
Well who or what can give permission? I am logged on as administrator and I`m the only user on the pc.
Sometimes I find it impossible to delete something, which I could have done in xp.
Is you issue like this?

Sorry that should have said " Here we go again, a spamming post from SiennaHughes underneath post from smith 134"
So many user names from one person, it gets confusing
Someone should put a spoke in this iyogi site as the ones promoting it must be on some sort of commission.
It is appearing more and more in the Technology Section and several contributors are pushing the issue.
You need to pay to join it, but what would you get for your money-False promises ??
