computer crashed

My computer crashed earlier in the week due to my cutting off power before shutdown.

However it is now fixed but I am finding the writing terribly small I can hardly read it. What can I do to enlarge - hope you know what I mean. It seems to have been "Shrunk"

go to View > zoom in, or text size, or whatever formula your system uses. Or spin the wheel on your mouse while holding down the Control key. Or hold down Control and shift and hit the + key.

Dammit, I've just made the text on my screen huge while checking this

Maybe you need to alter display, go to - control panel - personalization - display settings.
This is in vista, personalization might be display in xp.
