for what purpose?

Are you trying to avoid council tax charges? Tax evasion?
Surely, if you live on one house for 10 months of the eyar that IS your main address?
You could try it but could lead to difficulties if you try to open a bank/savings account or take out a loan etc, where proof of address would be required.
