Peugeot 306 petrol leak

Hi can anyone help? I have petrol leaking but not from the tank from a rubber pipe that appears to have fractured. Does anyone have any idea how much I should expect to be charged for this to be replaced and fitted as the garage has informed me it has to be bought from Peugeot dealer. Thanx in advance

Hi, I cannot figure out where this rubber pipe comes in! did this garage tell you where on the body the pipe is? at the most it will be in the region of �50 try any car components shop for the new pipe you have no need to go to peugeot, Try EBay etc.

Get some-one to jack the car and look underneath,the leaking pipe will be easy to spot,look at what it looks like,shape etc. and find one on e-bay and replace itself. �90.00 saved,believe me.

The garage jacked it up and its a black hose with a join and its towards the side of the wheel if thats any help. Can't explain it much more than that.

Hi, Male / Female??? SAFTEY IN MIND if you have the pipe chock the front wheels, select 1st or reverse gear, jack up the car, look at the pipe that needs changing, put a clamp on the pipe front & rear of the leaking pipe then remove & replace, With respect if you are a female & cannot do the job yourself, get a SMALL GARAGE to do the job for you, if they are decent garage cost should be well under what I stated previously, �15--�20.

Female!! Have put a jug under to collect petrol but cannot get a jack to have a go at anything -at moment it's lost about 2 litres in 24 hrs but at least I have a petrol can to put it back in and can take it to my local garage tomorrow and hopefully get it fixed. Thanks for all your help tho

Just a point of SAFTEY make sure no-one smokes or throws the dockers near or in & around your car for obvious reasons, I hope you are not taking it to a Pug garage for the repair? Good Luck.
