Because someone is disputing a 'phone conversation,is there anyway that I can buy from BT a record of my 'phone conversations between certain dates?

Quite often you will hear the message "Your call is being recorded/monitored for training purposes" but otherwise it is illegal to record a phone conversation without the other party's knowledge (except of course under the appropriate legislation).
It is not illegal to record phone conversations for your own use and you do not have to inform the other party to the conversation.

Ask the company involved to provide you with a copy of the call. If they refuse to do so they can't use it as evidence against you.
