Sorry to trouble you all, particularly is somebody has already answered this.

The higest score I can make on this week's Scrabble is 46, starting at A12 across. I have confirmed on Scrabulizer that there is apparently no higher permitted solution, so am & I the computer right, & has the Telegraph printed an incorrect target score of 50 points?

I would like to know for peace of mind, if nothing else.

It is possible to get 50, I am afraid.

Then I think it has defeated me this week, as I'm pretty certain there's no such words as KNOWLEDGES or SA. Never mind, saves the cost of a stamp, which probably adds up to 25 pretty quickly these days.
Well, I do not know how much you are wholly interested in a clue? But there is one anyway. Sorry, could not resist!
