please has anyone any ideas on the best thing for large office windows that tilt in at the top and out at the bottom, the windows need to open in the summer but the sunlight is too strong and the vertical blinds catch in the windows as they open and break and the only fixing we have is really the alcove of the window sill as the ceiling is suspended and can not be fixed to.. does anyone know of anything that could maybe be fixed to the window itself to stop the light and stop breaking the blinds or any idea would be most most welcome, anything at all...

your suspended ceiling can be fixed to you just need to put some 595 x 595 wooden pattresses above the tiles and fix through into them
this is assuming metric tiles that can be lifted out as apposed to interlinked and that your blinds are not too heavy which they wont be
Yes, the best type of blind for the job would be a perfect fit blinds. Which is basically a blind within a frame that slots directly onto your existing window. This type of blind was developed with this type of window in mind.
As matt1e rightly said, Perfect Fit Blinds are ideal for this style of window. The frame is a sleek design and blends into the window frame effortlessly without the need for screws. http://www.soeasyblinds.co.uk have a large range of Perfect Fit Blinds which can be ordered online.
