My digibox has recently taken to switching itself on to standby mode - even interrupting viewing to announce it is about to do so.

Can anyone please tell me why this is happening and if I can do anything about it myself, or does it need specialist attention?

Thanks for any suggestions.

When are you viewing? - the auto standby function is set to operate in the early hours of the morning as far as I understood. If it is interrupting your viewing in the middle of the afternoon then something is wrong!

The guys here can offer more help;

This happened to me recently - so I searched around, found the 'auto standby' option, and switched it off.
Then last night it occurred again - but the auto standby option is no longer there ..... or it has moved .... or I just can't find it.
And yes, it does go into standby while you're watching something ...!!
Can anyone explain what is going on here, please?
Mine only seems to do it when in Radio Mode. It seems quite happy to stay on when I'm watching tv programmes through it. Any ideas?

It's really annoying cos I like to have Radio Caroline on during the day but every now and then I have to go and switch it back on again and I can't set any timers to record anything (like the 60's and 70's request show tonight) as it will have switched itself off by then.
