The IFA dealing with my application is dragging his feet to an unacceptable degree. It looks like this scheme is not regulated by the FSA so I can't threaten him with that, but it is regulated by the Consumer Credit Act. Does this contain any screws I can tighten on him?

Thanks in advance, as always.

The scheme is overseen by the FSA and you should contact the Homebuy Agent and state your reasons. There is a horrific shortfall in monies available for the scheme. We are Homebuy Panel Members. www.openmarkethomebuy.org.uk

Thanks for this ^

Perhaps I'll threaten the FSA route after all. I'm aware that funds are drying up - it's only an amendment to an agreement already received. Contact? Ha! THAT'S been the problem - he won't answer or return my calls!

A very useful reply - thanks again.

I could almost guess the name of the firm! But they might read it here! So all I can say is that there is no excuse - you either give best advice or you don't! LOL
