Baby girl??

What can I do to improve my chances of having a girl? Obviously no complaints if a boy but...

You can't! The gender of the baby is decided by the father's genes,not the mothers.

I thought there factors that can perhaps influence ie time of trying during your menstrual cycle or something and taking certain foods which help with acid / alkaline?!?

i really wanted a girl but ended up with a boy on the way. i wish it was as simple to choose. but now because of this we are planning on having another baby after as i want a girl. that means 2 kids and if the next one is a boy i will probably throw myself off a very large building.

I am pretty sure I read somewhere on the net about making sure you have nookie no later than 3 days before your period and at certain times during ur cycle and to eat certain foods. Also about doing certain positions - I just can't find it anywhere! Something to do with the girly sperm being alkaline or acid (forget which) and different parts of your vagina encourage the living of the girl sperm whereas the boy dies off which is why particular positions encourage the sperm cells you want to make it last longer - if that makes sense. I just wish I could find it!!!

I have just found this..

boy-producing sperm swim faster but don�t live as long, whereas girl-producing sperm swim slower but live longer. Because of this, he says that if you want a girl, it�s better to have sex two to four days before ovulation then stop, as the girl-producing sperm are more likely to still be present when you ovulate

For a girl, have sex regularly from the day your period ends until two to four days before ovulation - which occurs about 14 days before your next period is due - then stop. For a boy, abstain or use condoms until four days before ovulation, then abstain totally until 12 hours prior to ovulation, then have sex, just once.
eat lots of calcium-rich foods for a girl while cutting down on salt. For a boy, increase salty foods and red meat and cut down on dairy products

To conceive a girl, Dr Shettles recommends the missionary position and shallow penetration. To conceive a boy, try rear entry with deep penetration.

BeatySwalls I have 2 boys - never thought of throwing myself of a building though.

Main thing is you have a healthy baby

divadobs i will certainly be doing that next time. i just pray it works. or maybe i will seek a baby exchange place where you can go in and swap new borns for same aged babies of the opposite sex.

mine were both conceived at the same time in the month and i have a boy and a girl.

Be grateful for what youre given or you could end up with 8 children all of same sex lol

There are people who would give anything to have a healthy baby of any sex. Be very grateful for what you have.
