Whilst I get the joke...very good :-) I did indeed do something similar with my hubby. He sent me a text saying "I love you and as a joke I sent that reply "who is this?", he didnt see the funny side and went mental :-(

Maybe your voice sounded different on the phone, maybe it was a badly concieved joke on his part...

Did you speak on the phone further after that?

Just hypothetically saying that he thought it was someone else, I wouldn't imagine he would say 'Who is this?" would it be more likely if he did think it was someone else he would have just chatted normally until the horror kicked in that it wasn't who he thought it was originally?!

Without having the benefit of hearing how it was said, it appears he may have been shocked to hear it; do you usually surprise him like this?

actually...........i laugh as i write this, i think thats quite funny......... and i would have said that if my husband had rung me and tried to be sexy on the phone.......

but i have a wapped sense of humour and
i would be doing my "mutley laugh" at this point ( you MUST remember the wacky races surely !!!)

i do when reading your post, realise - in this situation - that whilst i would find it funny to make that reply perhaps my other half wouldnt !!! presentation being all !!!
