marks n spencer are letting you have 5 items for a penny each. it started yesterday and ends friday. its because the store is 125 yrs old and back then you could buy alot more for 1p

Not all shops took part and they had the items for a penny because the store started out as a penny bazaar 125 years ago

I've been watching the scrum outside my M and S for the last 2 days (I work overlooking one).

M and S tell the waiting queue when that days 1p items are gone (well before midday) and they wander away. It'll happen again tomorrow.

Read in the paper today of a woman who queued for around an hour for the pants but wasn't successful. She said they were not what she usually gets in the way of knickers but for 1p she wanted some. So, because they are 1p, she queued for yonks to buy undies she didn't particularly like!!!
