The Perverted Roman Catholic Church.
13 Answers
Later today, a full report will be published giving details of abuse of childrenj at the the hands of perverted catholics from the 1930's to the present day.
Add to that the infamous Magdelegne Laundries, the last of which only closed in the 1990's, and there is a picture of the true nature of Roman Catholocism.
Isn't it time that Roman Catholics woke up and confronted the evil that is embodied in the pope and the Vatican?

it is tragic that they did this to these childern and thyey deserve to crumble from within from the damage this has caused, which is potentially what is happeing.
you appear to have something against the rcs particularly, but these thigs were all the rage in the late 19 and ealry 20 centuries. some say pedagogy was acceptable behavoir - look at the uranian poets and all those masters at eton who had a thing for young boys.
i dont think highlighitinhg yet again what the church did is a bad thing, and it wont change my view of them for sure, but you do seem to be glossing over abuses in other factions of other religious organisaitons and non-religious. i am not sure what you expect rcs generally to do though.

The abuse of children by priests is a conumdrum for which the church has no answer and part of why they supress the reporting of offences.
The Pope is supposed to be infallible. God is supposed to guide the decisions by the power holders in the church. But somehow God failed to guide them into selecting the right people as priests, allowing paedophiles into powerful positions.
Although people say that the problem is people not the curch, the facts demonstrate the assertion that they are guided by God is a myth, undermining the premises behind the faith.
Either that or God is actually an aweful beast. Actually the Bible provides plenty of evidence for that.
But it isn't just the Catholics. All the Abrahamic faiths are based on utterly deplorable philosophy.

I agree with beso. The report was issued here in Ireland today and runs to five volumes. It's horrendous, but even more in that the state not only supported these homes and borstals, they left them in sole charge of the sadistic creatures that tortured and abused these kids. It's not new information, but it's really the first time since the Taoiseach (Prime minister) apologised in 1996 that the State has provided a recognition of the suffering these children went through, many for having committed the crime of comingfrom a broken family.
Is it a Catholic problem? This report deals solely with State sactioned Catholic institutions, so in that respect, yes. However, it is also a horrible reminder of the power of religion in general on the masses. Is child abuse solely a Catholic problem? Of course not. Is the Vatican evil? No more than all other Abrahamic religions in my opinion.

Sorry Theland, I didn't intend to ignore your question - I just haven't had time to answer it today. The Catholic church is certainly corrupt in more ways than one - but that's not to say that every priest, nun, or member of the church would condone this. However, that is not intended to negate, or under-estimate, the horrendous treatment suffered by these children.
Since incumbents of the Catholic church appear to be continually embroiled in distasteful (an under-statement), illegal, and positively disgusting acts against children, one has to wonder just how much influence its doctrine, with its permanent focus on sin, retribution, hell, repentance, and in my opinion, its unhealthy attitude towards sex, affects a human mind drenched, mostly from childhood, in superstition and fear. What sort of monster would do something like this? Clearly, a trusted, pious, leader of men, to whom others are encouraged to confess their sins, and are expected to be grateful for the absolution meted out by this creature - or a silently creeping, covered woman, bitter and twisted in her virginal reverence.
The news tonight reports that the names of the perpetrators will not be revealed, and that no one will face prosecution. I find that absolutely shameful - and Id like to know why? Does anyone know?

Beso, has put it so well that I will just add.......what is it with the religions, total mass hysteria.
It is not good enough to say that there are bad apples in the RC church, these people were disciples of Christ and it and other perverted crimes have been going on for years, well known to the RC church who did NOTHING about it.
This is not fiddling expenses league, this is SEXUAL BESTIALITY....
This is certainly the tip of the iceberg.
When is someone going to get up and say that this religious nonsense must stop?....whichever religion.

Yes, exactly. Toraboy. However you have no room to be smug.
At least the German people have rejected the Nazi philosophy. Even the neo-Nazis try to claim that the Holocaust didn't happen.
Meanwhile the glorious genocides chronicled in the Book of Joshua are taught to your children as evidence of your chosen status as God's own people.
