volume on sky remote

hi,could anyone out there please inform me of how i can use the sky remote to turn the volume up and down on my tv.the tv is a samsung plasma,it used to work at one time but iv no idea as to why it stopped like i said it used to work but im not that clued up as to tune things in thanks anyway
