windows over doors

Our upstairs doors have glass over the top which I think looks really old fashioned, has anyone any suggestions what could be put there in its place to make it look more modern. Thanks.

We had the same problem & when we were getting some plastering done he boarded it over with some mdf & then plastered over it or you could even wallpaper it once it has been boarded up. Hope this helps.

Your could try a light box.

The windows were originaly to 'borrow' light from one area and give it to one without much natural light of it's own.

If you had a bit of money or inginuity you could put in a mood light box that would change colour.

How about spraying a design or relevant word such as "sleep" or "zzzz" with some glass etch spray. It's so effective and really easy using a stencil.
