Cant upload photo's

Hi. I have just renewed my Norton subscription and since I have had the new version I cant upload my photographs. When I put the USB from the camera into the computer I hear a noise like the computer knows it's there, then after about a minute I hear the same noise but nothing happens. I have a windows vista. Does anyone know what I can to do to rectify it please. Thanks.

I had trouble with Norton so I downloaded Picasa3 which is a free version. It is also a lot easier to send photos by e-mail. It works on the same principle - your USB from the camera to the computer. But make sure your camera is switched on when transferring photos.
