I reckon China probably had quite a nice time and thought the lakes were very pretty but that Virgin trains were a bloody disgrace to humanity.
I suspect she probably got sunburnt reading by the lake as that wind up there deceptively hides how hot it actually is. In a suprise turn of events she may have even been a convert to steak and ale pie.
She still won't like chips and gravy though.
(Weird talking about yourself in the third person isn't it?!)

Getting sunburnt was not fun, as my name suggests I'm naturally quite pale and usually put sun cream on but I just didn't realise how warm it was or that I was catching the sun. My face has stayed it's normal pale self so now I look like a brand of toothpaste! The journey there and back was utterly miserable, Virgin trains are a (unfunny) joke and I'm actually trying to find their complaints section on the web, I want at least a partial refund.
I loved going out in the boat and Vik's nephew (baby) is just a delight to watch, he's so funny and we drove up one of the mountains on Sunday evening (we were going for dinner) and took the scenic route and I saw a waterfall and lots of pretty things, (I also tried the pie and thought of you and craft!). All in all, I had a lovely time and I'll definitely go back.
How was everyone elses bank holiday?
