My grandson just asked me to wire up his playstation to the big TV in the lounge, I told him I had no clue how to do it but he said I would be able to and I have!!! I have no idea how, I just fiddled with the remote and it came on! I feel proper clever now! Mind you I've unplugged the sky and the dvdvd and will have to tackle putting then back after! : ( Can't be great at everything can we?

that's it, the AV button! They are amazing. lol
I remember when I moved in to the last place I lived I managed to set up my own music system and the television complete with digi-box, funny aerial thingy and DVD player without having to call my dad or bribe a random male friend with beer.... And I'm the brains of the family!
Question Author
it's actually not the number of wires or gadgets, it's being able to read the buttons on the remote when you can't find your reading glasses......................and knowing what they are for of course
Well done - I just tell y kiddiwinks Daddy will do it - it's a man thing - lol
I haven't a bloody clue how things work........but do have fun seeing what happens.....
actually dot you sound like an idiot ,my 3 year old can set up the playstation.
Lol, so true knowledge

Lol no knowledge, I didn't exactly come across as being competent at the job did I? Of course I am an idiot when it comes to wiring up computer games, they confuse me and i struggle to read the tiny writing on the remote! It is one thing I really really can never get the hang of, despite my 27 year old son having his first nintendo when he was 8 or 9! My grandson can wire it up on his own TV but our big Samsung had the sky and dvdvd wired up to it and so he wasn't sure either what needed to be moved, and i wouldn;t have let him play about with the wires himself, even at 10 years old, let alone 3!
Why not dot.......it would cut down on the child-minding...
Question Author
that's true craft, I tried sending him up a chumney for 6pence but he made a mess on the carpet when he got home.
if you have a big modern samsung then it is even easier , why the frig have you unplugged the sky and dvd ???
Question Author
lol I dunno! If I knew what i was doing i wouldn't be telling you i don't know what i am doing! It just made it less confusing that's all!!! I know how to plug them back in when i need to though lol well. I think i do,
