Emails have disappeared

All my emails have disappeared from my Inbox and Sent Items - I've tried a System Restore but that didn't work. Anyone know how I can get my emails back?

No, system restore only restores the operating system files and registry.
What are you using for email software?

Yes - but nowhere else.

Sorry I'm very technophobic - Outlook Express?
I did click on something - Doctor something - just before this happened and also clicked on something to compact the text in OE? Oulook Express froze and when I restarted no emails!!
