Not sure if this is the right catagory but here goes.
The charity I run is holding an event at a local country park and we have organised some fun games such as father and son three legged race and eggnspoon race (you get the idea).
We have public liability insurance but want particapants to sign a disclaimer in case of accidents or injury such as slipping or tripping over or bumping into one another.
My questions are.
1, Can we do this? 2. Would it be legaly binding? 3 If yes, how should it be worded?
I think your PL insurance will cover it. I can't see the signature being of any value- if the organisers are negligent someone will still be able to sue them even if the injured party had signed a disclaimer. Barmaid will know for certain.
