I recently received a query as to why I had not used this site for a while. My last question brought such a sharp rebuke I was too scared to ask again. On behalf of many older users I would make this plea: if you do not wish to help us then just ignore our requests, no one is forcing you to answer but remember you too may be old & slow one day.

because of something I read wrong (was waiting at
thetime for eye surgery) what got to me it was not
person whose post I had read wrong but someone
else who would not let go, am glad to say like you
other ABers came to my aid and were understanding

It happened to me when I wa a greenie esmeralda and I really couldn't believe how vitriolic some people can be. I was really heartened by the support I received at the time and I've refused to be drawn by the smallmindedness eversince. I absolutely love the site and the people who give so freely of their time and knowledge. Add me to the list of those who are willing to help - if I can get in there quick enough which isn't very often. Good luck

As an Oldie myself, I've come to accept disrespect from a minority. My attitude is it's THEIR problem, so no point in getting upset.

As the above responses have shown, there's still lots and lots of nice people in the world.

Sorry you were put off by someone's comments but no worries - just go for it as most of us like to help. Your question may be helpful to other people too,remember. I often benefit from answers to questions asked by others. I am often on the site too late to be of help for most questions but will gladly do my best for you.
Another oldie ! Well, pre World War 2 anyway.,if that qualifies!!
