How insensitive, selfish, inhumane - well, they'll do for starters. Just to think they were allowed to adopt in the first place, others who would give anything to adopt and treat the 'adoptee' as their own.
Why won't they deregister the adoption? How was the child treated during his 2 years with them? Are they putting their new child up for adoption? What cannot work out with a baby?
No, the whole story is hoeendous.
I can't believe they were just allowed to hand him back. He's a child, not a jumper that you decided you don't want to wear anymore so you just get rid of it. I think its disgusting. I would imagine that the child will also have learnt the English language as apposed to indonesian so it will be even harder for him to get to grips with what is going on. I don't necessarily think the parents should be made to keep the child as I don't think that would be in his best interests but there would have been better ways with dealing with it, I'm sure.
Social services should keep a close eye on how their own child is cared for from now on. To think that there are so many people who would do anything to be given the chance to be a parent and these people are given the opportunity to raise a healthy, happy child and just toss it to one side. Its complete outrageous and they should be prosicuted. Wow, this has got me all mad.
Apparently the couple, he is an accountant from Ireland his wife is from Azerbijan, adopted the little boy while they were both living in Jakarta, and now the legality of the adoption is being called into question. From what I can gather the poor wee mite hasn't even been to Ireland! Furthermore the pair of insensitive b*******s dumped him back in the orphanage and all he could speak / understand was English!!
Sound like a real pair of charmers, eh?!
Youre right milly the boy can only speak english, the couple are living in Azerbaijan now were the mother is originally from they claim they will faciliate an procedures that are in the childs best interests but I fail to see how that could be true as they obviously never had his interests at heart only their own.I tried to post a link to the full story but it didnt work to check out the full article its on Ireland.com/news
This poor little boy is so much better off without these insensitive people bringing him up.
Thank God he is young enough to hopefully be placed with people who will love & care for him one day.
The people who 'dumped' him should be brought to justice! Also, I think that his adoptive 'accountant' father, should be made to pay for his upbringing until he is 18!
