Is this a more accurate example of 'Diversity' in the UK
Is this group the best argument against those who seek to divide the different races in this country; and an even stronger argument against those who constantly demonise certain groups young people:

Ahem... Kidding. I think the group themselves have done very well and yes, it's nice to see that not all kids are monsters. But those of us that think that way any way will think the same and those that are disposed to think that most of the youth today are a scurge on society will just see this group as an exception and not a true reflection.

Given that about 95% of them are the same colour, what's the point you're making? If you're saying that they're a role model primarily for black youth, you have a valid point.
But the sad thing is that they will slip back into oblivion faster than SuBo was rushed to the Priory, therefore any black kids looking for a positive role model had better be quick before the shooting star which is Diversity disappears, if they haven't already done so.

The picture I'm looking at has one black lad, three white lads, three lads who look as if they are from Middle Eastern backgrounds and four possible mixed race blokes.
No really sure where are you getting 95% from?
Could it be that Diversity are an example of what the majority of young people (the ones who don't make the papers) are actually like?
Here's hoping that they'll be more of a Paul Potts than and Steve Brookstein. Inital reports and the fact that they're a ridiculously talented bunch suggests not:

The important thing is not what colour, race, religion any of them are.
The important thing is that the are giving a POSITIVE image of young people, showing that they are not all hoodies, or drunks, or druggies, or muggers, or lazy.
The problem we have in this country (with our generally negative media) is that they only focus on the NEGATIVE and rarely the positive.
Two years ago was the world wide scout Jamboree in the UK. Thousands of scouts from all over the world came to London for over a week.
My son and his scout troop worked for over a year to raise the money to send his troop to London (and to pay for some foreign scouts to go).
The day they set off they invited the local press to come and take some pictures, AND NOT ONE PERSON TURNED UP.
I bet if they had started breaking into a car the press would have been there like a shot.
