Why is it when you copy a CD at home on to CD-R or CD-RW disks, why wont the copied disks play on all players??? When I put them into my car stereo it comes up "no disk" and others it plays fine??
another view - it may not be legal but the trade have said they would take no action. It is generally thought it is illegal to take a video camera into a cinema and record a film. The industry have recently admitted there is no law against it and they cannot even take your equipment. But they can remove you from the cinema!!
i always buy the original and never steal it, but i always like sandmaster make a copy . the originals stay locked away until the copy knackers.
i have bought and wasted some good money on really duff CD's like Coldplays X&Y &ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

as I have said it is not legal but is generally accepted by the trade that if you have purchased an original and make a copy for your own use they will not take action.
another view - you have missed the point. If you have successfully filmed the whole feature before they spot you there is nothing they can do about it.
If you try to sell a copy that is another matter.
Personally I never buy pirate copies - those I have seen were rubbish.
