printer problems

I loaded my new printer a lexmark but it didnt load properly so i keep getting a message saying if you go any futher it could damage my computer !! the printer lets me print but cant scan. I have tried uninstalling it but wont let me so i tried reinstalling it only for my pc to say ive already got something installing so cant install anything else !! help please.

See If it`s in programme files, right click and delete.
That`s - computer- click c drive - click programme files.

thanks ill try that tonight,i just need to get rid of it and start again.
