Regret the delay in replying Diane1954, but have been away from computer, watching TV - how sad is that?
Anyway, I see where you are coming from, with smoothie as another possible answer for 8, but I think that I shall stick with cocktail. For 32 I have champagne (=sham pain), and for 38 I have Scotch (because there is or was a soap-filled pad called a Scotch Pad, though I cannot see a connection with Churchill)
