MM and KM Links June 2009 [Week 1]

Good Evening AB Linkers, everywhere!

Welcome to this first week in the reign of deecee131, who should appear in person tomorrow! At this point in the proceedings I usually spend a little time sorting out a suitable title of authority for the incoming champion. Taking everything into account, I am going with The Godfather aka Don Corleone! So give the man respect and don't be late for the launch tomorrow morning.

Tonight is MY quiz at the Cricket Club and I still have the Picture Round to do! This means that (once again) I am running VERY late with my preparations. Hence I shall give this posting the briefest of details and simply say that it�s nice to have a clean sheet at the beginning of a new month!

This will be a four-week month, so there is less time to recover from a slip-up. The Godfather should open the posting at 8.45am and the four words to be linked should be declared at 9.00am tomorrow, when MM Links kicks off in earnest. Remember, remember ~ that early hits gain bonus points!

Of course, it is also a brand new start for the international version of this same game which is called KM Links and kicks off at the unearthly hour of about 06.30am! However, in this version of the game, guesses are NOT time-sensitive, so you can make your predictions whenever it is convenient for you. Look out for the regular organiser from Oz, seekeerz, who keeps us all in order. As I always say ~ �Why not chance your arm at both Link Games?� They remain open for most of the weekend and all entries are scored and entered on to master scoreboards.

I have only just managed to get on here, it just wouldn't let me get onto AB. I am just moving (hopefully) in Lichfield. I am a bit isolated here so want to be more into town and also it's too big for me on my own. Laney the roof space is full, i have ironing everywhere and am trying to alter a dress and it's all going wrong!!!!!
I think Pauline is out ferrying the girls around but she may be here later.

Kay I hope you enjoy Elkie tomorrow. Twice I tried to see her and both times it was cancelled because enough tickets hadn't been sold. She's a class act but you usually only hear the same few numbers. He Could Have Been an Army is a great track but no-one ever plays it. Doesn't even feature on You Tube!!

Hi Dusty, just been listening to Youtube. Her concert tomorrow at the Garrick theatre is sold out and has been for a few weeks now. I got my tickets when they first went on sale. She still sounds brilliant so am really looking forward to it. What a quiet night!!! Am going to bed now myself, see you in the morning. It's raining here so will be in for links (not at carboot!!)
