joint morgage with partner(not married)

hi i have unsecured debt on my name only ! from many years ago if taken to court for this could they repposses my house if its a joint morgage(were not married and none of the debt is in my partners name) any information would be great

I suppose in theory they could put a charge on it, but they'd have to go thru the courts for this, and in doing so it simply means that if sold, they would be entitled to a slice.

If you got into arrears with the debt and it was taken to court a County Court Judgement would be issued against you.
If you failed to pay, the creditor has several options to enforce the judgement, including:
Bailiffs, to take goods to the value of the debt
A charging order on your house, even though it is jointly owned with your unmarried partner
Attachment of earnings, so part of your salary goes directly to the creditor
Bankruptcy, where your house could be forcibly sold to pay your debts.
