Application form.
7 Answers
I'm starting to fill out an application form for a new job and there is a huge section about previous employment and education ect.
my question is....
I have a C/V with all this info on it so should i still fill out these sections or leave them blank and just put my C/V with the rest of the application form.
cheers

In my experience if the firm sends out an application form they want it completing. If they wanted a CV they'd usually ask for it, but if they don't say one way or the other you could include one ALONG WITH the completed application form. They often want a completed application form because it asks just for the info they need to know, all applications are in the same format, and they don't have to read stuff they are not interested in. I suggest a covering letter is also useful, highlighting why you meet the requirements.
cheers everyone, completed the entire form and sent my C/V, forgot about a cover letter but there was a seperate sheet that came with the application form.......asking what exites you about the job, why you want the job ect.
so that sort of covers it, but a cover letter would look better, ill try and remember next time.
