Laptop help

In Comet they have a
Compaq 15 . 2 SL - 42 for �379.99 could anyone tell me if this is ok or the
Emachines 15.4 M575

Im looking for a Laptop from Comet about �360 ish if anyone knows of one if the ones above are no good

Compaqs are supposed to be good..........they had the contract to supply the company I used to work for and I had no problems.

it depends what you want to do on the laptop, ideally you want one that has upgradable ram and a dedicated graphics card for running programs and games.
if its just for web browsing and email/documents then the cheaper machines with shared graphics will suffice
