Copying and cutting in answer boxes

Hello ABE,

Another thing... when will this function arrive?  I know it's been said before, but it truly is very annoying that we can't shuffle our own text around to make sure it's in the best order before posting.  Moreover, when one types a helpful answer that's just too long, it's very annoying to have to delete part of it, and retype it.  If one could cut and paste it into a second answer box that would be splendid.  I suspect some people would say more, but they get fed up of having to do the retyping, so just cut their answers short.

I'm just sending this to see if CTRL X (cut), CTRL C (copy) & CTRL V (paste) work.

They work on my PC. I know this is not exactly what you want to hear, but it is a way around the problem until ABank get the time to sort something out.

I can do this on my computer at work, not at home, so problems may be screen-specific.

Ummm...  If you find that your answer is beyond the 2,000 character limit, so indicated by the boxed message to that effect whenyou click 'Submit', simply go to about midpint in your message, place cursor at beginning of a line, depress left  mouse button, hold and high-light from there to the bottom of your message.  At that point, click on Edit and Cut, at which time the high-lighted portion disappears.  Click on submit and when that's completed click on another 'Post an Answer'.  When that screen comes up, simply place the cursor within the box, again go to Edit and click Paste.  This will place the previously cut portion in the new answer box , which you can then submit as usual.  Long winded way of explanation, but once tried you'll find it simple and you will no longer have to re-type the excluded portion...

Erm... I already can cut and paste text into a second answer box, and frequently do.

Bernardo thanks - we've established that it may be a computer/laptop/screen peculiarity.  I'm not stupid hun - I have tried and found it doesn't work on this laptop! :-) :-p

Clandad - I'm guessing you mean use the "edit" option on the top toolbar.  :-)  Hadn't thought of that, so thanks!  I'm just a "fan" of right click options and found that didn't work here.
