cmv - positive - all pregnant women please read
Hi all
I had a torch screen test done last week due to having extra water in the womb and baby measuring a number of weeks bigger since I was 28 weeks. I'm now 36 weeks and have tested positive for an infection called Cytomegalovirus (CMV) it's quite a serious condition which can cause defects in a fetus/ unborn child. Please all read up on this condition as I don't feel this is stressed enough to pregnant women and the simple ways to try and avoid contamination. I am so worried and haven't stopped thinking about my baby and the possibilities that if i had known i could have avoided it.
However, I am strong, this is my second child and I know that whatever happens, however bad my baby's condition is, he/she will be loved more than ever and ensured the correct care is provided always and always.
All of you take good care...and please just take my advice, read up and get in the know xx
