what court?
for perverting the course of justice ....what court can this be dealt in, magistrates or crown?

If it made a difference to any sentences or charges received and that the Courts perceive that the outcome could have been totally different should the truth have been told, then it can be tried in crown court and you can actually be imprisoned

Can't see what you're getting at there. the charges were theft of a car,no licence,insurance and crashed the car. Gave a false name (perverting the course of justice)and didn't answer to bail. Was then arrested on a warrant. Was sentenced at magistrates, which I thought was unusual for the charge.
