This is going to sound so vague, but I hope someone can help me with the name of the woman who supposedly succeeded in being the first to achieve either a ride/walk/sail or something across a large desert/sea/continent, but who later admitted to cheating. I am desperate to see if she wrote an account of her journey, but can you imagine asking for this in a bookshop?
