does anyone know the answerto this.if ofsted temporary close a nursery due to issues that have to be sorted out ,how come ofsted dont have to tell us what the issues a
re that made them temporary close the nursery.when i phoned ofsted to ask wh the nursery wa give a empory closure they said they cant tell me what te problems are ,but hang on a minute it is my baby that is in that nursery surely us parentshave a right to know whats wrong with the nursery.?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.well i would imagine if they are investigating something (perhaps an untoward incident, or series of them) they can't for sure say something is wrong witht he nursery, so it would be very unfair to tellt he parents, what might amount to no more than gossip or unsubstantiated rumours.
Also, if there are criminal proceedings they may not be able to by law.

You appear to be having issues with your childcare arrangments? Is this the same nursery that charge for bank holidays?
No, you as parents have no rights to information as to why the nursery is closed just because your child attends the setting. If it was something involving your child would you want all and sundry knowing? I doubt it, so you must respect what may be another parents privacy.
Quite apart from as bednobs says, gossip mongering and hear say, whatever the issue here, will be investigated fully by OFSTED (and it must be something of signifigance to be investigated by then)
