do chickens like water?

What for- to drink?  To swim/paddle in? To bathe in?

i gave my 6 month old chicken a bath wen it was very hot the other day as she was looking very overheated. at 1st she struggled a bit but i turned her on her back and submerged her up to her neck and she had a great time bobbing away! it cooled her down too

From our experience they definitely do not like rain. The poor old things are not happy when they are rain soaked. Nor do they like snow as they get cold feet. But often in the summer when I used to change the water in the pool for the geese they would happily wade through.

some breeds don't mind the rain (Black rock).
However they do not swim - but it is essential to give them non stop access to drinking water
