Mashed potato in cake . . . !! ???

Hello everybody ! Is anyone watching River Cottage ? They just made a cake with mashed potato in it , as a way of using up left-overs !! ??? Must admit, I wouldn't have thought of that one ! Whatever next ?

me mother once made a chocolate sponge using bisto instead of cocoa powder....don't ask, i'm suprised i turned out as sane as i did :P

Oh Alba that made me laugh....my brother and sister and I all learned to cook in sheer self-defence.. My ma ,Bless her socks could ,and did ,burn boiled eggs

Hi, back again !
Daftest thing my mum did once was to put washing up liquid in the spuds instead of salt (The old fairy liquid bottles were quite similar to the salt ones then) can you imagine the mess though when they boiled !!
