Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

I don't THINK these have been asked before . . .

"I must fly!" (Richards, leaving test before its end) (6).
Have AS-A-E. ASTARE is the only thing I can find to fit, but I have no idea why.

Initially pick Welsh hills; I'm off to get head treatment (9).
Pretty sure this is PRESELECT, but I'm baffled by the Welsh hills!

Thanks, Slaney; that's one down! I don't know the SW corner of Wales and so Preseli was new to me.

Thank you, MLN:RUGBY. Your answer is very convincing, but it means that I was looking in the wrong place. So AVOCET must substitute for EXOCET, which was my half-baked solution to "Changing ends makes object of calling a weapon". Now putting this clue into the space I originally had gives me ESPADA [A SPADE], and the puzzle is complete!

BTW, I don't know if your "Rugby" refers to the school; it was mine too.
