dry nose? who knows

for the past couple weeks my dogs nose has been dry.wife says there is a reason for this but cant remember what it is.anyone got any ideas? thank you.

If it is just dry there is usually no problem, but if it changes colour or is crusty or flaky this is usually a sign of infection.
You can put some moisturiser on it if it is just dry, but giving a vegetable oil supplement might help, just a teaspoonful a couple of times a week. If it is cracked or flaky then get the vet to check it out. If it is pink or white, then you may need to put some sun protection on it.
